To Stallings Drive: All is well here in Awasa, Ethiopia, a city of 1 1/2 million. We traveled here last evening from Yirgalem, where we had taught for six days. We travel today back to Addis and then in the morning retrace our steps to Nazareth, where we will spend a week teaching preachers, preaching in villages, etc. Weather this AM is mild. Dust makes sneezing a common occurance. The brethren in Yirgalem send their greetings and appreciation for our being here; we are here because of your interest in this kind of work.

Love to all, randy harshbarger

Hi, on a short break from teaching this AM. Brother Curry is now teaching. We leave Yirgalem tomorrow, back to Awasa and then to Nazareth on Friday. Brother curry will go back to Addis for the weekend and then return to countryside on Monday where and when we resume our work together. His plans to teach for 3 weeks in Addis had to be canceled - couldn't find a place to meet.

Feel fine. All is well. Dusty and hot and some normal sneezing! rh

Dear Friends, Internet connections here in Ethiopia are unreliable at best, so I will make this note short, just in case it doesn't even go through. Brother Melvin Curry and I arrived safely in Addis Ababa after a 20 flight--all without major complications. Our luggage arrived, too, for that we are glad. We are now in the countryside and have just finished our second day of teaching; this is Sunday, the Lord's day. Yesterday we traveled to Dubo, a village near Yiraglem, where we taught for 4 hours. It takes about 2 hours from Awasa to travel there; Awasa is where we are staying until tomorrow. Today we went back the same way to another village and worshiped with the congregation there (I can't remember the name). Brother Curry and I both taught 2 lessons each. We began at 10:00AM and finished at 2:30PM. Many folks walk for 2-3 hours to attend today and same for yesterday. We leave Awasa tomorrow and move to Yirglem to teach for 4 days - 35 preachers from countryside will meet with us for this time. We are staying at a nice compound that was built by the Irish government--for Ethiopia, as I understand it.

More later, thanks for your prayers. Ciao, Randy Harshbarger
